Amber Watts wins $10K GeroSprint Competition award

During the third annual Geropalooza Research Symposium, Amber Watts was announced as the first place winner of the GeroSprint Competition. The Geropalooza Research Symposium was co-hosted by the Landon Center on Aging and the Division of Geriatrics in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Watts received a cash award of $10,000 for her research project "Mitochondrial Menopause & Its Role in Alzheimer's Disease". Watts is a Research Project Leader with the Women's Health COBRE BD-WH and an Associate Professor of Psychology, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Kansas.
