Tera Fazzino received R01 from NIH

We are excited to share Tera Fazzino has been awarded the first NIH R01 for KU in 2026!  The five-year award will allow PI Fazzino and her research team to complete a large-scale test of the abuse liability of hyper-palatable foods, using methodology from tobacco regulatory science. In addition to this major milestone, Tera was recently awarded funding from the USDA Economic Research Service as an extension to her recently completed Faculty Fellow Pilot Project with our center. Her team is also preparing a manuscript for publication based on her pilot project's findings, marking another exciting step forward for her research program.
