Biography —
Amber Watts leads "Risk and Protective Factors for Cognitive Function in the Menopause Transition", a BD-WH research project. The proposed project will specifically study the interrelationships between protective and risk factors for cognitive symptoms during the menopause transition.
In addition, Watts is an Associate Professor of Psychology, investigating health behaviors, prevention strategies, and bio-behavioral processes associated with cognitive decline & dementia. She is currently researching the effect of physical activity on health and cognitive function in older adults with and without Alzheimer's disease in cooperation with the KU Alzheimer's Disease Center in Kansas City. Her research laboratory is called the Behavioral Research in Aging, Neuroscience, Cognition, and Health (BRANCH) Lab.
